**(I created this as guide for a bible study I taught; I spruced it up to blog it)**

Truth is original, meaning it’s been here from the beginning, so it can’t be found as if it is something new or it can’t change as if it has evolved. Truth is revealed.

Our quest as humans has been for truth since the beginning of time. We go to school, read books, do research all because we want to know the truth. With the entry of truth ignorance is diminished. But where do we find truth? Where do we locate the origin or original intent of creations principles?

“…I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will GUIDE you into all TRUTH: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come….. ” John 16:12-13

Truth is revealed by the Spirit of truth and with the entrance of truth comes, accountability. Some people run from the truth being revealed and would rather remain ignorant, to avoid accountability. Then you have those who shun the truth because they are blinded. I will elaborate on those who are blinded, but first read what was told to the watchman in the Bible. Take note who is held accountable when truth is revealed.

“When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.” Ezekiel 3:18-19 KJV

Now on the flip side of things, some people are blinded from truth. In other words their conscious is seared to the truth. They can’t receive the truth because the god of this world has blinded their minds to it.

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath BLINDED the MINDS of them which believe NOT, LEST the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 3-4 (also read vs 1-6)

Truth and lies have been enemies since the first lie was told, the same way Satan is at enmity with the children of God. Jesus plainly reveals the hostile relationship between the Truth and the Lie, when He tells us the devil was a murderer from the beginning and there is NO truth in him.

“Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.” John 8:43-47

The battle we face is not with a demon, that’s not where OUR fight lies. Our battle is with the ungodly principles or the LIES they carry. Each demon has an assignment (demon of lust; demon of adultery; demon of thievery etc.) and an assigned task to carry out. Their strategy is to penetrate our MINDS and THOUGHT PROCESSES with lies that ultimately voids truth.

Their method of penetration begins by watering down or nullifying the principle of truth with suggestions of ungodliness. This is why the real spiritual battle is located in our mind. We must guard our mind from the untruths of the enemy. These principalities, powers and rulers of darkness come to sow ‘UNGODY PRINCIPLES ’ to diminish the original intent of truth, by making what was once not acceptable… okay to accept.

These principalities come to make each generation more lukewarm and more accommodating to wickedness than the previous generation. Our enemy the devil, also known as the father of lies, executes this strategy very subtly and cunningly. For instance look at how society has evolved over the last 50 years to now accept same sex marriage as a norm. The original intent of marriage which was defined in the beginning of time, as a covenant between man and woman. This ‘truth’ has become ‘broad’ or stretched into a lie to include, men marrying men and women marrying women. This was not the original intent at creation.

Again the battle with our enemy lies in our mind. God knew this, this is why our weapons are tailored to protect our minds from the infiltration of lies. They are situated to protect the KNOWLEDGE of truth and for the guarding against lies. We do this by casting down imaginations and thoughts that exalt themselves against the knowledge of TRUTH.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down IMAGINATIONS, and every high thing that exalteth itself AGAINST the KNOWLEDGE of God, and bringing into captivity every THOUGHT to the obedience of Christ..” 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

You cannot be trained to fight properly if you don’t know your enemy. The truth is an enemy to lies and has been since the beginning of time. Jesus is truth, and the father of lies is the devil. The devil hates truth, therefore his ultimate goal is to keep you from knowing or believing the TRUTH. Guard yourself with the knowledge of truth. Get in your word seek truth and you will find it. Once you find TRUTH hold tight to it and watch the light that shines from you diminish the darkness that lies have created in the lives of others.

The Armor of God

Ephesians 6:11-18

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
