I Hear YOU, Wake UP!

My Friend: “We can meet there around 8.”

Me: “Okay, sounds great. See you there.”

Me: “I’m running a tad bit late, will be there at 8:30.”

My Friend: “Okay.”

As I arrived at the appointed time, instead of valet, I decided to walk. As I walked past the valet stand, a young man complimented me, “Mam, you are beautiful.” I said, “Thank you” and smiled as I neared the entrance. I walked to the door there was an older white gentleman walking out.  He looked into my eyes, which caught me off guard, and said, “They have been waiting for you.” I looked at him, smiled as I nodded my head and said, “Okay, thank you.” I neared my friend and asked, “Did you tell someone you were waiting for me?” The answer was, “No.”

—— This period of reflection was just what I needed. A long overdue getaway. Things that were taken out of perspective have now been placed in their proper perspectives. Sin not dealt with, will now cease and become a thing of the past. These are my thoughts as I left the resort. This time of serene relaxation and thoughtful insights of my life’s proclivities, was now coming to an end. Now the tugs and pulls of life would once again prevail.  It is time for me and the boys to head back to Houston, and get back to work.

But first before we begin our trip, we need gas and the boys want snacks. To the gas station we go. I park my car near the pump, and walk towards the entry. As I neared the entry a middle aged gentleman, you could tell he just left the beach, opened the door for me, looked at me and said, “They have been waiting for you,” and kept walking. With those exact Words, the Lord has once again sent His message. I understood.

The Lord speaks. But do we hear? Immediately, I knew what His message meant. Are ‘they’ waiting for you too? Do you hear Him? Repent, turn from your ways and win souls. “Jesus is coming.”

“Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.” Revelation 22:7

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: John 10:27

Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62
