My heart has been broken. My expectations dissolved. Have you ever felt this way? If you have or maybe you have not, I want to share something with you.
First, you should know by now the Lord gives us warnings (see scripture below). It’s that still small voice or that thundering pain in your stomach letting you know something is not quite right. You can either choose to listen to the Lord and heed His warnings or you can do what I did on this particular occasion and ask the person for a ‘sense’ of confirmation instead of believing God.
I chose to listen to the person. I know, I KNOW! that was completely opposite of my beliefs and I know I let God down. But because I chose to listen to the person…my heart was broken.
But just as the Lord gave me the warning signs about my situation, trying His best to keep me out of something that would hurt me; once my heart was broken He immediately began to give me confirmation and signs that He heals the broken-hearted. On one instance I turned my TV on and there was a children’s program on with children singing, ‘God heals your broken heart.’ I thought to myself with a smile, ‘Out of the mouth of babes.’ Next I went to my Facebook and there was a big picture post someone posted reading, ‘God Heals The Broken-Hearted.’
There were many more confirmations and signs that the Lord was healing me, but above all the signs in the natural, the Lord’s Spirit ministered to my spirit and gave me PEACE. He will do the same for you. He will heal your broken heart, as a matter of fact He is healing you right now. Give things time and trust in the Lord. He knows exactly what you need and what you are going through.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalms 147:3
But one whom you forgive anything, I forgive also; for indeed what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, I did it for your sakes in the presence of Christ, so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes. 2 Corinthians 2:10-12
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
